Real Intercession | Kenneth Copeland

Real Intercession

And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor.

Isaiah 59:16

Our instinctive human response to being harmed is to retaliate—to pray to God to punish the offender. But that is not how God works.

One day, when several of my family were robbed, I came to that realisation. I was pondering the problem and praying about it. I started by saying, "Lord, why did You allow that to happen? Why did You not simply hit the thief in the head when he attempted to accomplish that? ”

Suddenly, God gave me the ability to step back from that circumstance and view it with spiritual eyes rather than simply natural ones.

When I did that, I nearly immediately understood the solution to my query. Because of His mercy, that is. God is incredibly merciful. not just for my family and I, but also for others.

Then you can join forces with his grandmother and start praying for him rather than against him (or anyone else who happens to be praying for him). You can plead with the Lord for his mercy and confront the demon on his behalf. That is genuine intercession, and it completely disorients the forces of evil. Absolutely no defence exists for them against it.

The Lord is seeking those who are courageous and devoted enough to take that step. Be brave and join them. When you feel the urge to kill someone, dare to save him instead.
